Footing Updates for Hoosier

As many of you know, IEA got hit pretty hard with some rain. While this is great for our farmers and hay fields, it really did a number on the footing of our cross country course. This lead to less than ideal conditions for Leg Up last weekend, causing many of you to take your horses legs and feet into consideration. We know you are concerned, and we hear you.

We have spoken extensively with our organizer, course designer, HHP staff and dedicated local members, and we have a plan. We have equipment in place to roll, aeroate, and are prepared to rent additional equipment if needed. We got some rain today, and repairs have been started. Our course designer was at the park Monday and has created an alternate path that will bypass the areas with the most damage. We want to assure everyone that the horses safety and well being is our top priority, but as of now, the team feels confident that we can make major improvements to the course and provide the same great experience for Hoosier Horse Trials that we have in previous years.

What can you do? Please spread this message and let your fellow eventers know the plan. We will be posting updates as they occur. We really want this to be another great year, and keep this show a success.

Thank you all for supporting IEA and Hoosier Horse Trials, and we hope to see you there!

Questions and concerns can be directed to Mariah Johnson and/or Rachel Skirvin, your IEA President and Vice President.
